Stan Lee 1922-2018
When Stan Lee passed away on November 12th, it hit the comic community really hard. The members of Minnesota Superheroes United planned “A Party for Stan Lee” at Dangerous Man Brewing on November 18th where we all showed up in Marvel costumes and celebrated the spirit of the man who made us all feel like a superhero. I wore my Peggy Carter costume.

This fall, the Minnesota Force lost one of our beloved members, Karen Madsen, to an 18-year battle with blood cancer. In her honor, we started a group called A Force for Karen. Our first event was a blood drive on November 17th. She relied on blood transfusions, and often spoke to the importance of donating blood. Our goal was 22 pints, and we surpassed our goal!

On November 3rd, I joined Minnesota Superheroes United at the Lanes for Friendship event for Highland Friendship Club. The event was held at Bowlero. We mingled with the attendees, and they encouraged us to bowl, so we did!
